Years agi when my children were very young, one of things I did was to set aside Saturday for "Saturday Morning Adventure" where we and some of the neighborhood children would take a walk and collect small 'cool' looking rocks and bring them back to the house where washed, dried, and assembled into something from each childs imagination; then they would each paint them with their personality involved and presto... 20 years later, talking with my neice at her 25th birthday party she told me that she still had her cool little "rock animal" that she had made. The feeling that gave me 'no' money could buy. She told me how that is one of her favorite memories. She added, "I couldn't believe you let us be in your art studio to make them either. It was so cool!"
Time is history in the making and an opportunity for a chance to make a difference! James

I have loved sharing "The Indian and the Cupboard" series with the kids I baby-sit for. My fourth grade teacher introduced the books to me. She would read a chapter each day and use voices for all the characters. It was so realistic and enjoyable to listen to her, and I was excited to share the stories with the kids in my life!
