What are your greatest gifts? How can you best serve mankind? These are questions you must answer to find your true purpose in life.
Who am I?
What am I meant to do here?
What am I trying to do with my life?
These are powerful questions that can be difficult to answer. They sometimes surface during major life transitions such as a family strife, job loss, spiritual awakenings, or the death of a loved one.
I feel fortunate to have found my purpose in life. I have that reason to get up in the morning and it fuels my passion. In one of the greatest compliments I ever received, someone said to me, "Mac, when you speak you’ve been blessed with the ability to connect with others…soul to soul." I thought about those words and have chosen to shape my life around that gift. My purpose through speaking and writing is to "bring ideas to life" that will encourage and motivate people.
Every person is a unique being. There is only one of you in the universe. You have many obvious gifts and other gifts waiting to be discovered.
I truly believe, however, that one of the most important questions you can ask yourself in your journey to find your purpose is, "How can I serve others?"
Albert Schweitzer said it well: "I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve."

If someone shares something of great value to me and I benefit from it, it is my moral obligation to share it with others.
Life is not a job. However, I have to job for my living.
I thank God that I found my purpose in this life. It was found only thru the grace of God. I have always wanted to help people but didn’t know how to go about doing it to where I would not be noticed (little did I know about giving God the glory). However during life tribulations I found the Lord and put HIM in my life. I have dedicated myself to HIM to help others. Thru the ministry that God gave me (I am Senior Pastor), I have seen many people delivered and healed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank God for the opportunity to be servant to HIM as well as HIS people.
I feel that the greatest gift in life is when you find yourself. This for me came through trials and tribulations. In the end you find yourself and find that being nice and sharing can make more of a difference then you think.
i think that we should be who we are and dont be conformed by the things that people around us do. People should be able to be known who we are by how we live. We should love even if there is no reason to love. The best way to serve mankind is to put them befor ourselves like it says in the bible because if everyone puts everyone else then it will be so much easier for everyone to live life to the fullest..
I believe that people find who they truely are, and what they’re supposed to do with their lives to benefit themselves and others, in trying times of one’s life. The best characteristics of people come out in the toughest times, where they need to be the best they can be to succeed and get through the tough times. And if the best is brought out of every person in their own toughest times, then the best will be brought out from the world.
i think serving others is a great way to find your purpose in life because you are sometimes able to figure out what you are good at while at the same time benefiting others.
i agree every person is unique, and for every unique person there is a unique undescovered talent waiting for them.
questions about yourself are truly answered when you can move outside of yourself and answer them as an outside person.
i like the comments that everyone else put up about saying the best is brought out in hard times and you can really find who you are through the way you treat others.
I agree with 703480. Serving others is a great way to find your self. And sometimes you have to do others things to find what is meant for you to do. So more people need to go out and find them selves from a different point of view.
I agree with the comment saying that everyone is unique, and for every unique person there is a unique undescovered talent waiting for them. I think that’s very true and if everyone tried to find their undescovered talent the world would be a better place.
Johnny’s story touches the heart.
Who knew a simple act could reach so many?
Pure inspiration.
Thank you Johnny!
Those are very powerful questions indeed. Each of us will have to ask that of ourselves sometime in our life. I was blessed to find that we are all children of God and are of Divine Worth when I started my life journey as a young adult. This knowledge had changed my attitude and the way I perceive myself as well as others. My life has been a love of service and developing excellence in all that I do. I believe as we develop our relationship with our Maker, it transforms us internally and spiritually. In times of trials I have the confident I can receive the strength from on high. That alone is of great comfort.
