The Simple Truths of Validation

by Matt on February 27, 2010

Today, I received a letter from a Simple Truths customer. He told me about the near-death accident he had, and the long and difficult road he has traveled to recovery (I’d love to post more about his amazing story, but I’m waiting to hear back from him first). He wrote that our motivational material helped him through his trials, and that our Facebook group prompted him to inform us of how we helped him.

It’s strange how a moment of validation can turn a day around. I came across this funny and true video about this subject on YouTube:

Today, our customer’s letter brought a tear to my eye, and reminded me of the importance of encouraging others. He validated me and what I did…so I would like to do that for you. Thank you for being a subscriber to our blog, and thank you for helping us reach others with our messages. Believe it or not, your stories of success are our inspiration!

So, how has Simple Truths impacted your life? How do you validate others? How have you been validated?

I read your stories and emails as soon as i get them no matter how many messages I have in my in-box. They are always applicable to my life’s journey! Of course, the Dash is still my favorite of all time.

Have a great day and keep up the good work.

I found a wonderful smile while watching your offering here. This movie reminded me of the journey I have taken over the years from incredible inspirational years, during the 80s, I call them my Nightingale-Conant days, because I lived the Simple Truths they taught; to a long period where I lost my confidence and smile because I let the cares and concerns of life tell me a lie and traded empathy for apathy; illumination for a shadow.
Somehow I forgot that you become what you think about most! My most earnst prayer today is never to make “that” mistake again! Today I live by Simple Truths and care where I’m going.
Have a very Blessed Day! James

What a inspirational three minute movie.
I smiled and I laughed as I watched this.
Someone once said the best medicine for the human race is laughter! I couldnt agree more!
Thank you and may you be blessed with all good things.

Wow, it’s great to know that you all have been moved by this as much as I was when I watched it! So, what has been the best validation to you? What do you do to validate others?
