Friendship Is Catching

“A friend is someone who allows you distance, but
is never far away!” Friendship is reaching out
for someone’s hand and touching their heart!

Of all the things you can make in life, a friend is
someone who makes a difference, someone that you
want to thank for a thousand things in a thousand
ways, thanks for waiting up, sitting up, and putting
up with me, for letting me sit in the shade of your
friendship when things got hot, thanks for everything
you have given me and forgiven me, for crying with me
and crying for me and telling me when it’s time to
dry my tears, thanks for poking me with your laughter
when I was full of hot air, for accepting my faults and
reminding me that anyone looking for a friend without
faults won’t have any friends, thanks for reminding me
that our friendship is not only a gift to each other, but
also a gift from God, thanks so much for being my friend!

PEACE AND HUGS!

This is a very heartwarming poem, Jacob! Good luck on getting published. In fact, if you have something that you would like other Simple Truths fans to read, submit it on our "Send us your Story" tab, and our blog team will consider it for publishing on our blog!

I love to write poetry....better still, I love for people to read or hear my poems...below, the first verse of "Hello"..a recent poem.

Are you among the friendly folk who love to say “hello.”
Who don’t mind stopping just to chat when you are on the go.
You’ll never know how much it means to someone passing by,
For you to speak some friendly words or merely just say “Hi”!

One of my goals is to be published so more people can read my
poems.
